I had an older Husky manual sliding hitch, changed a 13,000# Komfort 5er from an all steel pinbox to the MorRyde rubber pin box and noticed a better ride. FWIW, 1st hitch in truck was a Reese 16k then upgraded to a B&W 18k Patriot. Our new Cardinal came with the Morryde box, steps and cushion equalizer system. It didn’t remove all the chucking but made it more comfortable. After the Morryde install, we had a much smother ride. The first fiver, a 2004 Sandpiper bought new with a standard box was a chucking bucking horse, first with a Reese Slider 2006, F250, then a 2007 F350 DRW with a B&W companion was a bucking fool. We are on our second fifth wheel both with the morryde rubber pin box. I'll stick with what I have as for the most part it's good enough. I think I'd spend the extra money and go with a Reese Goose Box. I can see that it's working from the dust mark spots on the pin plate. If this isn't much of a problem, then it probably won't do much. The Moryde pin box is designed to cushion chucking which is the push pull action felt going down the road. I put an air ride pin box on ours and it was a huge improvement
2013 COUGAR 5TH WHEEL PINBOX FRAME TV
My tv is a 2018 chev 2500 duramax which carries this 5th wheel very well. This question has probably been asked and answered many times but I am asking for other Cougar 27RKS owners if they have anything to say or add.
